Throne @ (Heb. kiss'e), a royal chair or seat of dignity kjv@Deuteronomy:17:18; kjv@2Samuel:7:13; kjv@Psalms:45:6); an elevated seat with a canopy and hangings, which cover it. It denotes the seat of the high priest in kjv@1Samuel:1:9 kjv@1Samuel:4:13, and of a provincial governor in kjv@Nehemiah:3:7 and kjv@Psalms:122:5.
